    Greenwood Elementary where students SOAR! At Greenwood Elementary we show Self control, stay On task, complete our work with a great Attitude, and are always Respectful. Greenwood is committed to helping all students reach their greatest potential, by servicing over 700 students with our Highly Qualified Teachers in Kindergarten through 6th Grade, a wonderful team of Administrators and Curriculum Coaches, and has done so since the 1960's.

  • Parent Orientation and the Annual Title One Meeting

    Date: Thursday, July 29th Times: 5:30pm What: Meet your child’s teacher and learn about curriculum and school procedures, receive PowerSchool login info, deliver school supplies (https://sc02209534.schoolwires.net/Domain/3724) to the classroom and learn about Greenwood’s Title One Project.   • Extended Day Academy

    The Extended Day Academy Registration is now open. The weekly fee is $60, the students will be served from 2:15 pm - 6:00 pm, and nutritionals meals and snacks will be served. Please contact Beverly Woods at 834.758.6046 or BWoods@fsd1.org

  • Summer Feeding Program

    Meal service will begin on June 14th at 19 summer school locations. (2 Locations, Theodore Lester and Carver Elementary will start later) 2. Attached is a spreadsheet indicating the schools, days of service, and enrollment for your reference. Please review and forward any corrections, change of dates, or confirmed enrollment counts. 3. Attached is the Summer Meal Flyer. Please forward to all parents, send an email or text blast, and/or post on the school's social media page. 4. The link below will allow all parents of FSD1 students to register to pick up meals at a school site if the student is not attending a FSD1 Summer Program, including athletics. There is a QR code also. The link and QR code will allow us to track all meals and students. https://forms.office.com/r/fpifhDE6K5 5. As an option, meal pick up is scheduled at North Vista Elementary, Carver Elementary and RN Beck for all FSD1 students who are not enrolled in the Summer Programs from 8:00 am-10:00 am and 2:00 pm-4:00 pm each Monday. 6. FSD1 programs will have access to the summer program meals. To maintain the Summer Feeding Program District-Wide, we are asking for your support as we distribute meals and maximize the meal counts on our campuses. Please encourage all students on campus to participate in the Meal program. Thank you in advance for your support.

  • Federal Broadband Discount for Students and Families

    The Federal Communications Commission has launched a temporary program to help families and households struggling to afford Internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Emergency Broadband Benefit provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers. Eligible households can enroll through a participating broadband provider or directly with the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) using an online or mail in application. You can learn more about the benefit, including eligibility and enrollment information, by visiting www.fcc.gov/broadbandbenefit, or by calling 833-511-0311.

  • Parent/Medical notes for absent students

    Parents are to submit a parent note or medical note to the GES attendance office w/in 3 days of a student absence. When working virtually, parents need to submit these notes to the following email address: attendance-ges@fsd1.org

  • Attendance

    Too many absences - excused or unexcused - can keep students from succeeding in school and life. How many are too many? 10% of the school year - that's 18 missed days or 2 days a month - can knock students off track.

  • Students need to wear gym shoes for P.E.

    With the opening of the new gym, students should wear gym shoes for P.E. Students will not be allowed to participate in P.E. class if the correct shoes are not worn.
