My name is Marian Popa and I am originally from Romania. This is my first year at West Florence High, my 7th year in Florence One District, and my 17th year working as a resource teacher. I finished my BA degree in Special Education in 2004 and my Master's Degree in Human Resources in 2014.  I speak three languages and I am highly qualified in middle school math. I was the adviser for the Middle School Academy Challenge Team for a total of 8 years and the Sneed Middle School boy's soccer coach for over 6 years. 

I am committed to helping every student learn in my class. I believe it is important for families and schools to collaborate to share responsibility for student success. I have high expectations for all my students and will do all I can to help every child achieve those expectations. 

My motto in life is very simple: "Without commitment, you will never start, but without consistency, you will never finish." I believe that when you put together passion, consistency, and hard work, amazing things can come true.
