Hello and thanks for stopping by my website!  I am starting my 23rd year of teaching - my first 5 years were spent in Knoxville, TN, and the next 16 years I was in Darlington County.  I loved becoming a Knight last year and the experiences I had at West Florence High School.  I look forward to serving you to the best of my ability.  Little background on me...

Interestingly, I never imagined being a teacher when I was in high school.  I was asked to be a tutor for student athletes at Wake Forest University taking Psychology class and I fell in love with helping others learn and do well.  I was already a psychology major, and then I added social studies education to that so that I could be a teacher.  

Education: Graduated from Hilton Head High School, earned a BA in Psychology and a BA in Social Studies Education from Wake Forest University, earned my masters degree from the University of Rhode Island, and completed my National Board Certification in 2008 and recertified in 2018.

Places I've lived: Pompano Beach, FL; Hilton Head, SC; Winston-Salem, NC; Knoxville, TN; Providence, RI; Florence, SC

Fun fact: I've been to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, China, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Belarus.
