Mrs. McFadden

Hello Everyone!  My name is Mrs. McFadden. This year I will be teaching 8th grade Careers here at John W. Moore Middle School.  I am in my 7th year of teaching.  I was an adjunct instructor at Central Carolina Technical College as a Criminal Justice instructor.  I have taught 8th thru 12th grade at Timmonsville High School.  I taught Computer Science, Fundamentals of Computing, Essentials of Computing, Computer Basics, Computer Programming, Desktop Publishing, IBA 1, and Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG). I was also the APEX Coordinator, the Alternative Learning Coordinator, and FBLA advisor.

I was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Around middle school, on and off, I moved to Lake City, SC.  I graduated from Lake City High School (Go Panthers!).  During my high school years at Lake City, I played JV basketball, Varsity Basketball, Varsity Softball, and Varsity Volleyball.

After graduating from high school, I attended Morris College and played basketball, softball, SGA (secretary), and joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. I later graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management.

Fast forward, I entered law enforcement with Lake City Police Department.  There, I was a patrolman first class, and a Community Oriented Police Officer (COP).  After leaving the Lake City Police Department, I continued my law enforcement career at the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.  There, I served as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Sneed Middle and a Civil Deputy.

I continued my education at Troy University, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Post-Secondary Education.  I decided to leave law enforcement and continue teaching.  I enjoy teaching.   I love the moments when I see former students being productive citizens!  This may not be my first plan, but it is truly the best plan!

LETS GO LIONS!!!!
